Background

Lumen Health Assessments offers one of Harley Street’s most advanced executive health programmes. Their services — thorough, expert, and premium — deserved a digital presence that matched. The old website didn’t. It blended in when it needed to stand out, and frustrated would-be clients who couldn’t easily request a booking. The gap between what Lumen delivered and what their website communicated was costing them patients.

What we discover

The problem wasn't the design. It was what the design said about Lumen.

When we mapped Lumen’s patient acquisition journey, three friction points emerged — each silently turning away the very clients they’d built their service to serve.

Brand-service mismatch

A generic site signalled generic care. Prospective clients searching for premium health assessments couldn't see the difference between Lumen and any other clinic.

No clear path to booking

Patients who wanted to enquire had no obvious route. No booking flow, no request form, no friction-free entry point into Lumen's services.

Corporate clients underserved

A growing segment — companies seeking executive health programmes — had no materials to share internally. Lumen's value was invisible in the boardroom.

Our Conclusion

The clinic was excellent. The digital experience was ordinary. That gap was the real problem to solve.

Brand audit

We reviewed Lumen’s existing site, competitor positioning, and the visual language of premium health brands — identifying exactly where the gap between perception and reality lived.

Patient journey mapping

By tracing the path from first search to booking request, we found the moments where prospective patients dropped off — and designed specifically to remove those barriers.

Corporate opportunity mapping

We identified Lumen’s corporate clients as an underserved segment. A physical brochure — designed for internal distribution — opened a second acquisition channel that the website alone couldn’t reach.

The brand equity was there. The visual language to carry it wasn't.

Visual identity & UI design

We developed an interface that speaks the language of premium healthcare — refined typography, editorial-quality imagery direction, and a spatial layout that lets the brand breathe. Every design decision was pressure-tested against one question: does this look like a place you’d trust with your health?

Homepage redesign

The redesigned homepage communicates authority within seconds — hero imagery, clear service positioning, and a single prominent call to action that removes any uncertainty about what to do next.

Booking request system

We designed and built a booking request flow that respects the patient’s time and Lumen’s standards. Clean, minimal, and friction-free — it converts interest into an appointment without the cognitive load of a traditional form.

Booking flow states

The flow adapts to the user’s context — whether they’re browsing a specific assessment or arriving directly from search. Each step is purposeful, with no unnecessary fields and clear progress indicators.

Corporate brochure

Alongside the website, we produced a corporate-grade brochure built for B2B outreach — giving Lumen’s team a physical artefact that opens doors at HR departments and executive boardrooms where digital alone doesn’t travel.
