Healthcare marketing pricing: how we quote and what changes the cost
Figures on this page are starting points, not quotes.
We price healthcare marketing either as a one-off project or as a monthly retainer, scoped to your specialty, location, competition and number of sites. Our SEO packages start at £1,000 per month for solo and individual doctors. Every other figure is quoted after we understand your clinic.
Pricing for marketing is hard to compare because scopes differ. This page explains how we work it out, what moves the number up or down, what is and is not included, and how to judge any quote you receive, ours included. For a wider view of the channels themselves, see our guide to digital marketing for healthcare.
Project or monthly retainer
We offer both. A project has a defined start and finish, such as an SEO audit and roadmap or a new website. A retainer is ongoing monthly support. For SEO, that covers technical fixes, content creation, link building and continued optimisation. We quote a specific figure for your clinic after the free audit, based on the gap between where you rank now and where you want to be.
Websites work slightly differently. After a build, we offer ongoing support plans covering hosting, updates, security, backups and small content changes, and we agree the level and cost with you up front. There are no compulsory lock-ins on that support. See healthcare website design and website maintenance for what each involves.
What drives the cost
These are the factors that change a quote. None has a fixed price attached here.
Specialty and treatment value: some specialties have far more search competition and regulatory care than others.
Geography: central London searches usually face more competition than a smaller town.
Competition: the strength of the sites you need to outrank sets how much content and link work is realistic.
Number of sites and locations: each location needs its own pages, listings and reporting.
Starting point of the website: technical problems, thin pages or slow speed add work before growth work begins.
Channels in scope: SEO, paid media, content and web design each carry their own effort.
Content volume and clinical review: how many pages are needed and how much clinician time is available to check them.
Reporting needs: a single site needs less than a group comparing locations.

What is and is not included
What a typical engagement can include depends on the services you choose. Each is described on its own page:
SEO: technical SEO, on-page SEO, copywriting, link building and local SEO.
Paid media: campaign setup and management through Google Ads and other paid channels.
Reporting: reports that tie spend to appointments and cost per new patient, with live dashboards and regular working sessions. See SEO performance reporting.
Not included unless agreed in writing: the advertising budget itself, which goes to the platform and not to us; website design or build work when you only buy SEO; and any promise of rankings, enquiries or patient numbers. We do not guarantee outcomes.
How to compare quotes, and red flags
Ask every provider the same questions so the quotes line up:
What exactly is delivered each month, and what is not?
Is the ad budget separate from the management fee, and are both shown?
How is progress reported, and does reporting reach booked patients or stop at traffic?
What is the term, the notice period and the review points?
Who owns the website, accounts, analytics and content if you leave?
Warning signs include guaranteed rankings or patient numbers, secrecy about methods, link schemes, and one identical package for every clinic. Our guides on how to choose a healthcare marketing or SEO agency, how to judge an SEO proposal and what a monthly retainer should include go through this in more detail.
Ownership and exit
Our stated principle is that your data, your website and your ad accounts belong to you, and if you leave you take everything with you. There is no proprietary CMS lock-in and no arrangement where we own the ad account. Contract terms are set out in your agreement, so read them before signing.
Test the numbers before you commit
Pricing only makes sense against what a new patient is worth to you. The healthcare marketing ROI calculator lets you enter your own figures and see what extra patients from your website, Google Ads or SEO could be worth. It is a planning aid, not a forecast. For budgeting context, see how much a private clinic spends on marketing in the UK.
Ask for a quote
The quickest route is a free strategy call. Tell us your specialty, location, number of sites and what you want to achieve, and we will explain what we would recommend and why. If we are not the right fit, we will say so.

FAQs: healthcare marketing pricing
How much do your SEO packages cost?
Our SEO packages start at £1,000 per month for solo and individual doctors. For clinics, groups or several locations, the price depends on specialty, geography, competition and the number of sites, so we quote after reviewing your situation.
The free SEO audit is the usual first step before any figure is agreed.
Do you charge a one-off fee or a monthly retainer?
Both are available. A project, such as an SEO audit and roadmap or a website build, has a defined scope and end. A retainer covers ongoing work, for example technical fixes, content, link building and continued optimisation.
We recommend whichever suits your goals and capacity, and explain the difference before you agree.
Is the advertising budget included in your management fee?
No. Ad spend is paid to the advertising platform, and the management fee is paid to the agency. A good quote shows both figures plus any setup charge, so you can see the total monthly cost. We recommend asking every provider the same question when comparing quotes.
Why do you not publish a full price list?
Because the same service can take very different effort depending on specialty, location, competition and the state of your site. A fixed list would either overcharge simple cases or understate complex ones. We prefer to scope the work first and give you a clear written quote you can compare.
Will I be locked into a long contract?
Contract terms are set out in your agreement, so read them before signing and ask for the notice period in writing. Our stated principle is that you own your data, website and ad accounts and can take everything if you leave. For website support plans there are no compulsory lock-ins.
Can you guarantee results for the price?
No. Nobody can honestly guarantee rankings, enquiries or patient numbers, because they depend on competition, your location, your site, your capacity and your treatments. What we can commit to is the work, the reporting and honest advice. Be cautious of any quote that promises a specific outcome.
